I am a multi-disciplinary artist based in Bristol, UK. My art explores the visual and aural, in mediums such as photography, film, and music.
My passion for visual storytelling has been at my core for most of my life, and I have a fascination for capturing the three-dimensional world. My work explores reality and truth, trying to capture moments in time that can teach an audience slowly or immediately about a story. I am highly interested in the capabilities and limits of memory, exploring how background influences memory-connectedness.
Having lived in four distinctly different countries throughout my life, my memory became sectioned into quarters, with each period being its own world. What friends reside there, my personality, and notably my memories of those times, they are very connected to their locations, and often feel out of place or disconnected if accessed from other parts of the globe.
This is, I’ve learned, a common experience among people whose families travelled a lot during their childhood years. How they mature in those countries, specifically with age, and what marks the cultures and societal norms leave on them, produce fascinating conglomerations of accents, customs, and behaviours.
These are the influences that I apply as a foundation to the various manifestations of my work.
