I shoot digital and on film with my trusty Nikon Z fc and passed-down Canon T90, respectively. My subjects are mostly people and natural/ urban landscapes, though I also shoot events commercially as a freelance photographer/ videographer.
I am passionate about street photography, capturing a scene that would be gone in an instant, forever. I have a fascination with the organisation of society, picking up on the small things we often take for granted in our Western progress-based, tunnel-visioned perspective on life. Through the lens of my camera, I can literally zoom in on this world and freeze in time moments—unadulterated, though dramaticised by the inherent nature of photography—that show the city as its own bustling, living entity, where individuals form cells, groups form organs, and goods travel around like lifeblood.
Landscapes have a different focus. I hold a wonder for the world, whether for its raw, untouched beauties or the forever modified by the hand of humanity. Shamelessly, I am most drawn to dramatic, breathtaking scenes; moments that inspire and let me sit in awe of the world around me, and the power it has over us all as life-giver and taker.
